Martha Easton is a senior pursuing a BFA in dance and a minor in exercise science at Wichita State University. She has performed in Kansas Dance Festival, Wichita Contemporary Dance Theater Concerts, Alithea Mime Theater, and countless operas. Her choreography has been presented in the Mid-America Dance Theatre Student Choreography Showcase as well as the 2018 American College Dance Association Central Regional in Urbana, IL. She studied at the School of the Minnesota Ballet under the direction of Robert Gardner and Innovative Soul Dance Company (Fusion Dance and Fitness) under the direction of Afton Wilson. She has worked with artists such as Darrell Grand Moultrie, Tiffany Rae Fisher, Daniel Charon, Nina Watt, Joanna Kotze, Jessica Lang, Jammie Walker, and Kate Weare Company. She is ecstatic to be given the opportunity to collaborate with such beautiful artist through Wheat State Dance Collective.

​Molly Flavin is a native of the Wichita area and has been dancing since the age of 6. She recently graduated with her BFA in Dance from Wichita State University where she was able to perform locally and internationally, touring in Mexico twice with Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre. She has worked with well-known choreographers such as Darrell Grand Moultrie and Charlotte Boye-Christiansen, and has performed with Alithea Mime Theatre and Mid-America Dance Theatre. Molly is starting her third year as a dance instructor at Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts and teaches a variety of styles, including Jazz dance and Irish step dance. Molly is very excited for this opportunity to dance with such inspiring people and being able to help bring concert dance to Wichita.

Nadia Khalidi is ecstatic to join WSDC in their opening season! She is currently a senior Dance Performance major (B.F.A) at Wichita State University on scholarship where she recently joined Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre on tour in Veracruz, Mexico. Also at WSU, she has had the opportunity to work with choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, and recently Jammie Walker of Jessica Lang Dance.  In the past, she has trained with ABT, OKC Ballet, Houston METDance, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Regina Klenjoski Dance Company, Thodos Dance Chicago, NobleMotion Dance, and Big Muddy Dance Company. She has had the joy of performing with Ballet Wichita as a soloist and principal from 2008-2016, and Alithea Mime Theatre in 2017. Many thanks to her entire family and WSU for helping her become the dancer she is today! Let’s dance!

Max Mayerle has worked with Alithea Mime Theatre, Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, Chandler Dances, Wichita Grand Opera, and is also a current second season member of the Regina Klenjoski Dance Company. He has performed professional works of Charles Anderson, Nathan Trice, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, and Darrell Grand Moultrie (featured dancer). In 2016 he was featured at the Kennedy Center through ACDA in Cheyla Clawson Chandler’s “NoSuchSymbiosis”. In 2017 Max partook in the American Dance Festival, performed at the LA Dance Exchange with RKDC, and performed at the Exchange Choreography Festival with Rkdc and Chandler Dance. Max has trained with the Kansas School of Classical Ballet, Miller Marley, and Beller Dance studio. While at Beller’s, Max trained from Wichita local Marlee Bailey.  Max received a BFA in dance performance and choreography with an emphasis in modern at Wichita State University under C. Nicolas Johnson.

Virginia Sauter began her dance training at the age of six in the small town of Oneonta, NY. She had a difficult time communicating because she was partially deaf when she was younger and found a way to express herself through dance. Virginia’s training consisted of tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, modern, mime, flamenco and African from various teachers across the United States. She has studied with choreographers such as Jacey Lambros of the Rockettes, Frank Hatchett, Savion Glover and Jammie Walker from Jessica Lang Dance Company among others. Virginia’s performance experience includes traveling internationally with Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, being a member of The Terpsichorean Dance Company back in her hometown, and was a part of an African Dance Troupe based in Brooklyn. She has also done numerous workshops, intensives and musical plays. 

​Currently Virginia is in her final year in the BFA Dance Program at Wichita State University. She is extremely excited to be one of the first members of Wheat State Dance Collective, and cannot wait to share her creativity and the passion she has for dance.

Kylee Tucker is a recent graduate of the Wichita State University Dance B.F.A. program where she studied ballet, modern, and jazz, and served as student president of the department’s student organization, Mid-American Dance Theatre. She started her dance training at Artistree School of Dance in Hutchinson, KS where she danced for 12 years, training in ballet, tap, modern, and jazz techniques. With Artistree, Kylee has traveled to New York to attend classes at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway among others. She has attended summer intensives at Tulsa Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and American Ballet Theatre. Kylee was a member of Ballet Wichita 2014-2017 and was titled principal dancer with the company for two years, performing in the annual Nutcracker among other local performances. While at Wichita State, Kylee has had the opportunity to travel internationally with Wichita Contemporary Dance Theatre, and performed in choreography by Charlotte Boye-Christensen and Darrell Grand-Moultrie. Kylee is currently a dance instructor and choreographer for the North YMCA Dance Company and Set Free Dance Studios. Kylee is excited to be a part of this new journey! She would like to thank all her friends, family, and dance instructors for their continuous support to help her achieve her dreams.

Kathryn Anderson, a Wichita, KS native who has committed herself to the
Fine Arts and the positive effects it provides in the community is a graduate
from Wichita State University with a BFA in Dance Performance. Katie has
been able to travel the world performing while learning from many
extraordinary and talented artists; such as Regina Klenjoski, Darrell Grand
Moultrie, Nicholas C Johnson, Sabrina Vazquez, Cheyla Clawson, and many
more. She has danced in multiple states such as New York, North
Carolina, and Missouri. She performed in the New York Jazz Choreography
Project, located at the Alvin Ailey Studios, toured throughout Italy for the US
Troops, and also danced for Twyla Tharp in a 2013 World Premiere. Along
with her passion for performing, Kathryn is dedicated to sharing her passion
and knowledge with the next generation and providing an environment where
young dancers can thrive and grow. She recently became the Owner/Director
of Andover Dance Academy, located in the heart of Andover, KS. Along with
her new adventure of owning a studio, Kathryn is excited to be part of the
Wheat State Dance Collective and cannot wait to see the impact this
Company will have on the community.
